No Tangle Zipper Ear Phones

My friend Ellie is a New Yorker.

She walks everywhere (when she's not taking a taxi). And while she's walking, she listens to music on her iPod.  She also uses her earphones with her iPhone so that she can hear without holding the phone to her ear. (We really aren't sure what cell phone contact is doing to our brains, do we?)

When I went to Italy with her, she turned me on to watching movies and playing games on an iPod Touch during the long flight. We even downloaded walking tours on our iPod Touchs. (is plural for iPod Touch, "iPod Touchs" or "iPod Touches"," iPods Touch", or perhaps "iPod Touch" is both singular and plural? Sorry, I digress.)

All of this gadgetry involves earphones. And the ritual of untangling them before you can use them can be annoying.

Ellie, who, like many New Yorkers, is not one to waste time, stands in front of her building with her doorman every morning and untangles her earphones.  The rat's nest takes her several frustrating minutes. I'm sure the doorman enjoys this daily interaction, but Ellie does not.

So, I found a solution for her.

This wasn't easy. You see, Ellie is very particular. Earphones must have great sound quality. Ellie will spend some bucks on her earphones if they are good quality. They also have to have the little rubber tips that are comfortable in small ears. (They're called earbuds) And it's an added bonus if they cancel outside noises.

All of this and no tangling? Yes!

They're called Zipbuds.

These things are so cool.  They look like a long zipper with two ends that separate to your ears.

They are extremely comfortable.
The sound quality is exceptional.
They block exterior noise.
They are light.
They come in many colors.
They are not coated in plastic and therefore don't melt in the heat.
They stylishly look like a zipper down the front of your shirt.
And.....here's the best part,

They are $39.99!  WOW!  What a great gift!

The package comes with 3 different tip sizes, 2 sport ear clips, and a cute little storage pouch.

You can only get Zipbuds from Digital Group Audio's (DGA). Click to order.

Ellie should get some for her doorman now that he doesn't have her to talk to every morning.
