It happens that in determining if a certain young woman is truly a princess, a pea is placed under many mattresses. If she is a real princess, she will feel the pea because she is so sensitive.
In the morning the young woman announces to her hosts that she endured a sleepless night because of something hard in the bed. Everyone rejoices. The prince has found his real princess!
I am not a princess. But I used to have a problem getting a comfortable night's sleep, until I discovered my next nugget.
You can spend a lot of money on a mattress. There is a huge price difference between the inexpensive models and the top of the line models. It's not only a major investment, but once it is delivered and set up, you really can't try it out for a month and return it if you are like our little princess. So, we are tempted to spend a fortune on the BEST mattress set because we certainly don't want to make a costly mistake.
I have a solution for all of you princesses.
No matter what kind of mattress you have, whether it is old, new, hard, soft, low-end, high-end, you will LOVE climbing into bed if you have a 3" Memory Foam Mattress Topper on top. The one I use on ALL of our beds is from Costco. It is the Pure Comfort Memory Foam Mattress Topper. I bought ours on line because it was not offered in the store. The one in the store is the gel topper by the same company.
You may have tried other foam toppers and weren't impressed. This is very different from those egg crate things or just a regular foam topper. The key is to get one NO LESS than 3" thick. I like the Pure Comfort because it is dense enough to really cradle your body. It also has a soft covering that stretches over your top mattress to keep it in place.
The Pure Comfort 3" Memory Foam Topper is so effective, you can use it with the least expensive mattress and box springs and it will feel like you are sleeping like royalty.
It is also very comfortable for the queens of a certain age who have trouble with being hot at night.
It is perfect for making your guest beds more comfortable without spending a lot of money. It is a perfect gift for anyone you want to pamper. (Our college student son actually requested one for his birthday and says it's one of his favorite presents!)
If you don't belong to Costco, just be sure you find one that is at least 3". The one I sleep on is a king and it was about $150. It is made by Novaform/Sleep Innovations. Look for the style that comes with the built in mattress cover.
I wonder if the princess would notice if there was a nugget under her mattress.......
